Last Letter First is a a simple yet addictive verbal game that tests your vocabulary and quick thinking.
Last Letter First is a fast-paced word game where each new word must begin with the last letter of the previous word. For example, if the word played is PUMPKIN, the next word played would have to start with N such as NEST.

GAME PLAY
How do I play?
The idea of Last Letter First is simple: a player enters a word, the next player’s word must begin with the letter that ended the prior players word.
Each word must be spelled correctly and must have not been already played by another player – if a word is misspelled or the word has already been played by another player, then that player gets a strike.
Three strikes, and the player is out of the game.
The winner is the last player who has less than three strikes.
For example,
1. Ella says the word “Unicorn”
2. James has to come up with a word that starts with “N”: “Narwhal”
3. Luke has to come up with a word that starts with “L”: “Lunar”
4. Ella then has to come up with a word starts with “R”:
… and the game repeats until a player gets a strike.
How are points calculated?
Points are calculate by adding up the point value for each letter in a word.
For English, the point values are as follows:
* 1 point: A,E,I,L,N,O,R,S,T,U
* 2 points: D, G
* 3 points: B, C, M, P
* 4 points: F, H, V, W, Y
* 5 points: K
* 8 points: J, X
* 10 points: Q, Z
For example, the word EXCELLENT is worth 17 points because the letters each have the following point values:
* E = 3 letters at 1 point each = 3 points
* X = 1 letter at 8 points each = 8 points
* C = 1 letter at 3 points each = 3 points
* L = 2 letters at 1 point each = 2 points
* T = 1 letter at 1 point each = 1 point
When does a game end?
The game ends when there is only one player left who has not yet received 3 strikes.
The last player with less than 3 strikes is the game winner
A player earns a strike when they
* Misspell a word
* Repeat a word that has already been used in the game
Can I play with word that does not exist?
No, only words that exist are allowed in Last Letter First.
Every word you play is automatically checked against our dictionary.
If the word is not valid or is spelled incorrectly, you will get a strike – three strikes and you lose the game.
FYI, proper nouns (aka, the specific official name given to one unique entity of a person, place, or thing) are not allowed.
